Cape Town is rolling out the first 2,200 of 6,000 lockable baboon-proof bins to high-conflict areas, though even the task team admits nothing's truly 100% baboon-proof. A R10 million boundary fence from Zwaanswyk to Constantia Nek is also underway, aiming to keep around 250 baboons in mountain habitat and out of the bins altogether.
