Hey {{first_name | Brew}}
Navi Pillay could soon stand beside Mandela, Tutu and Luthuli at Nobel Square, and four old pianos have been painted into new lives for Cape Town schools. Wilderness Search and Rescue volunteers went from one mountain rescue straight into another on Sunday.
Tonight there’s a free market in Constantia with live music and friendly donkeys. Your week also has a film under the stars at Kirstenbosch, an orchid show and a garden day at Norval.

Navi Pillay could soon stand beside Mandela, Tutu and Luthuli at the V&A Waterfront. The Western Cape government is exploring a statue in her honour at Nobel Square, and will now engage the Waterfront and other stakeholders on whether it's feasible.
Four old pianos have been given a colourful second life by young Cape Town artists at Woordfees, through Cape Piano's Piano Graveyard Revival Project. Two of the painted pianos have already gone to Bridges for Music in Langa and Apex Stellenbosch Primary, and the other two are still waiting for homes at schools or organisations that need them.
After an overnight rescue on Table Mountain, Wilderness Search and Rescue volunteers went straight into another call-out. They had spent the night caring for a 55-year-old German hiker who fell about four metres on the India Venster route above Camps Bay, and were heading home when they were alerted to two young hikers suffering from dehydration and exhaustion on Platteklip Gorge. Two rescuers took turns carrying a barely conscious 17-year-old down on their backs, and all three hikers were safely off the mountain by 13:40 on Sunday.
