The space is warm and well-designed without being precious about it, the espresso is serious, and the all-day menu runs to the sort of food you actually want at 9am on a cold morning. Space and Time at the Onomo Hotel on Dock Road is a free gallery walk through Cascia Day's printmaking, displayed during hotel hours. If you are already at the Waterfront this week, the detour takes ten minutes and costs nothing.
Woodstock Brewery Taproom does happy hour pints at R35, craft beer trays to taste through, and burgers for R60. A proper taproom with no pretension, the kind of place that earns its regulars. Good for a Monday evening when you want something low-key and worth it.
