ProNutro is officially gone from South African shelves after 64 years, with PepsiCo confirming it couldn't recreate the taste and texture people loved once ageing production equipment forced a recipe change earlier this year. Cue thousands of nostalgic South Africans mourning their childhood breakfast, from banana to chocolate flavour.
Ahead of summer, the city launched a single hub for beach water quality, weather and safety alerts, covering every beach and tidal pool from the Atlantic side to False Bay. Sign up for push notifications and you will hear about a sewage spill or a beached whale before you even towel off.
