Ten juvenile African penguins made their first swim back into the wild this week, released by SANCCOB alongside three adults returning home to help guide them. The rehabilitated birds are a small but meaningful win for a species listed as critically endangered, with SANCCOB's Cape Town and Gqeberha centres treating thousands of seabirds a year before they're cleared to head back to sea.
