Two Airlink jets in Springbok green and All Blacks black buzzed DHL Stadium ahead of Saturday's Test, and tracking data puts the lead jet's clearance above the roof at just 41 to 46 feet, close enough that footage appears to show it flying through pyrotechnics fired from the roofline. Airlink says both aircraft stayed within approved, rehearsed limits, but the 55,000-strong crowd got a moment they won't forget before a ball was even kicked.

Pringle Bay's Amber-Rose Berry, 18, has become the youngest South African woman to swim the English Channel, battling currents, jellyfish stings and a passing ship's wake in a time of 10 hours and 27 minutes. She was already the youngest person ever to complete the False Bay crossing at 16, and this swim raised thousands for disadvantaged student-athletes from the Eastern Cape.
