The City has completed eight new public murals across Cape Town's parks, libraries and community halls, pairing eight lead artists with over 20 emerging creatives. The standout is a first-of-its-kind mosaic at Sir Lowry's Pass Library, built through community co-design around the message "Open a Book, Open a World."
Breadline Africa's Jaco de Kock and Gail Davids are each running 23.7km at the RMB Ultra-Trail Cape Town in November, aiming to raise R48,000 for a new classroom at Khanyisa Educare Centre in Khayelitsha. The centre cares for 81 children in a space built for 60, some still taught in container classrooms that fall short of fire-safety standards.
