A Cape Town studio just won an Emmy. Uncanny, the virtual worlds company behind an immersive VR theatre production with LA's Ferryman Collective, beat projects backed by major entertainment names to take the award.
The Two Oceans Aquarium is rallying volunteers for a Trash Bash at Sunrise Beach in Muizenberg on 19 September for International Coastal Cleanup Day, running 9am to 11am within the False Bay Hope Spot. Bring gloves, a bucket and some enthusiasm, part of a global movement now recognised on the UN calendar.
MultiChoice is shaking up DStv from 17 September, swapping Access, Family and Compact for new Starter, Select and Sports tiers, built around the PSL, Premier League and Champions League for R479 a month. Existing subscribers keep their current pricing for 12 months.
